New York in the 1930s, and the Nazi menace has been thwarted, for now! But Art Hardwicke, whose super-psychic mind-wrangling powers had made him the toast of the cabaret circuit in the guise of master-mentalist Supermind, cannot rest on his laurels. For the source of those very powers, that enigmatic Tibetan jewel known only as the Mind's Eye, has been stolen, and along with it, his powers themselves have gone! With stalwart manager Lady Daphne Witcombe by his side, and warty manservant Frampton by the other, Art crosses the globe in his ceaseless search for the jewel, the return of his powers, and revenge against their thief, the mysterious European Countess and her band of stealthy, occasionally cockney, ninjas. From bustling London markets, through hedonistic Cuban nightclubs and ancient Egyptian pyramids, to flirting with Abominable Snowmen and even the afterlife itself' nothing can stop Art in his quest to salvage what Lady Witcombe refers to as, 'your only source of income, you oaf'. Or can it? Will Art manage to regain his psychic abilities? Will Lady Witcombe once more be able to say, in polite company, that she is 'raking it in'? Or will the Countess prevail, and claim Supermind's amazing mental talents for herself?
