Burlesque
A Remastered Classic Production
The night is cold and dark, but even amidst the driving rain, Ralph Johnson and Bonny Lee King find comfort in each other's company, her after having failed an audition with a vaudeville company, him after having been fired from that very same one after complaining about her treatment at their hands. Their commiseration turns quickly into friendship, only to blossom into a loving romance, and the two marry in short order once they find positions in a more prestigious establishment. But with Ralph's drinking habits growing more and more out of control, and a fellow comic seeking to drive a wedge between the two so she can steal Ralph for herself, who knows if the show will go on? This is a classic radio drama production that is of its time and although remastered, the audio quality can vary.
